I have had a long day today. There were so many free festivals going on and I didn't want to miss any of them. I went to two art fairs today: the Millennium Art Fest near the Aon Center and the 57th Street Art Fair in Hyde Park. There were so many beautiful things to see that I am sorry I didn't get to spend as much time at the shows as I wanted to. But at least I collected a lot of great postcards and business cards from the booths I visited. So I will feature a few of my favorites.
Here are some of the artists from the Millennium Art Fest:
And here are some artists who exhibited at the 57th Street Art Fair:
As usual, I ended up window shopping because I was broke, but I really enjoyed getting a chance to learn about some exciting new artists, as well as see some others I've featured on here before, including Bekah Ash and Xiumei Zhang. I am looking forward to going to as many art shows as possible this summer. I am so glad that the summer festival season has begun again in Chicago. It is my favorite thing about living here. (Well that, and Chicago style pizza and hot dogs.)
Great art work. Thanks for sharing.
