These are my first 4 acrylic sheet paintings. I scanned them in so that it's easier to see the detail All of them are made from paint left over from my other paintings. I hate to waste unused paint. I'm glad to have found a way to give it a second life. I hope to sell these soon on Etsy. I will post a link here when I have finished setting up my store.
the paintings are good ~

I really like how these look here and am curious to know more about how they are made - acrylic sheet painting - what does that mean exactly? are they an a plexi-glass-type sheet of acrylic? what kind of paint? what are the sizes? and I'm calling dibbs on one of the last two (depending on the price of course).
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am so glad you like them! To answer your question, they are 8"x10". I guess I forgot to post that last night. Acrylic sheets are easy to make. All you have to do is let the paint dry on a nonstick flat surface and peel it off.
ReplyDeleteThey look so much bigger than that - how do you feel about the results?
ReplyDeleteI am very happy with the results. Especially since the process is pretty much left up to randomness and chance.
