New photos for The Doll Project

For those who have been following this blog, you may recall that I have a show coming up in April when I will be featuring photos from The Doll Project.  Here are a few new photos I've taken for it.

Never Thin Enough: a Model Muse body Barbie wrapped in hot pink measuring tape

Ana shares her dieting book with roommate Mia, who may have to eat something different for breakfast.

Unable to stick to her strict diet, Mia secretly binges while her roommate Ana isn't home.

After yielding to temptation, Mia purges.

This is still a work in progress, but things are going pretty well so far.  I look forward to sharing more new work from this series soon, so stay tuned.

  1. This is such an important topic. Body dismorphia. My daughter is pregnant and people are beginning to equate that with "fat". Look how Jessica Simpson is treated by the press for gaing weight during pregnancy. Thank you for putting this topic in the spotlight.

  2. CM,

I am so sorry to hear that people are making cruel comments to your daughter just because she is pregnant. It's a shame and an outrage that women are subjected to such a tyrannical ideal of thinness. It seems as though women who are in the public eye are subjected to even more scrutiny. The reason I created The Doll Project was to challenge the notions we have complacently accepted. Thanks for commenting and I wish you and your daughter the best.
