The 2018 57th Street Art Fair

The first outdoor art fair I had the pleasure of attending this year was The 57th Street Art Fair in Hyde Park. It was great seeing artists whose work has caught my eye before, like Natalya Sots Robin KittlesonMarzena Weber, and Tim Jarosz. Here are some more artists I noticed this year:

Roman Martinez
Graci Studio
Sean Berry Arts
Kostanda
H. Ward Miles
Leif Erik Johansen
AND
Blackberry Jewels
Joe Martino
Josh Merrill Photography
Mikula Glass
Dewey James Studio

It was nice going to an outdoor art fair now that the weather has warmed up and I look forward to getting out and enjoying more of them this summer.

Small steps: new mini paintings

So last year was a very frustrating time for me and I didn't make much personal artwork. This year I went a long time without painting anything but my nails. Last month I finally started spending more time in the studio making stuff. I took some small steps back into my art practice and made new mini paintings.

I started working on the blue painting way back in 2011, but I didn't like it so I left it in a drawer for 7 years. I'm glad I figured out what to do with it. And I have also figured out what types of new paintings I want to make next.

The mini paintings are 3" x 5" and under. The largest ones are $30, and the smaller ones are $25. I don't sell them online. You can only purchase them from my studio and the occasional art fairs I participate in.

The 2018 Spring One of A Kind Show

Friday night I went to the 2018 Spring One of A Kind Show. It was nice to see previous vendors there like Takara, Elko Hardwoods, and Case Island Glass. I also saw beautiful things made by vendors I haven't featured on my blog before.
