new untitled red painting

Untitled (Red) by Tiffany Gholar - red scarlet carmine crimson bas-relief sculptural abstract assemblage painting by Tiffany Gholar

This is a painting I started on just before my class ended. I went back to the studio--for the first time in about a month--to finish it. I promise myself I will never go that long without painting again. I was going through withdrawal or separation anxiety or something. The color and form of it remind me of this:

I was inspired by the giant model human heart at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago

the inside of the giant heart at the Museum of Science and Industry. Perhaps the title I give it will reflect that association.

It's made of cardboard and LDPE.

I also started on 2 new pieces, but they are still in the awkward phase so you'll have to wait until later to see them.
