Upcoming Chicago Art & Design Events for Fall 2009

I'm trying to do a better job of mentioning interesting Chicago events ahead of time. This way, readers, you can plan to go to some of them instead of saying, "wow, I wish I had known about that!" So here are a few things worth checking out:

The Renegade Craft Fair, September 12 - 13 from 11am – 7pm
on Division St. between Damen Ave. and Paulina St. in Wicker Park
I had a great time there last year, and am looking forward to attending my favorite craft fair again this year.

The opening of the fall gallery season (a.k.a., night of a thousand openings) Friday, September 11, 2009. Okay, maybe not a thousand openings, but it certainly feels that way. And there is even a free trolley service to shuttle patrons between gallery districts.

Design Chicago, September 30 - October 2, 2009
Merchandise Mart
It's an interior design fair! Network, get continuing education credits, and even get your portfolio reviewed. (And it's free!) While you're there, you can check out the Dream Home and The Merchandise Mart International Antiques Fair.
