I attended
Casual Market Chicago for the first time this year. I've ventured to the outdoor furniture showrooms at the Merchandise Mart many times, but this was the first time I have seen all of them open. So many are open by appointment only. Seeing them with the lights on and populated by designers and sales reps was kind of magical. In addition to several companies whose products I've liked and mentioned on here before like
Dedon,
MamaGreen and
Merritt, I came across some new products and companies that impressed me. Whenever possible, I have linked to the manufacturers' sites, but there were a few that I missed.
I really loved
Sunbrella's booth. It is an outdoor space that complements the
Hightower showroom because of its use of arches.
Sunbrella is probably the most popular outdoor textile manufacturer, but here are some others that I like.
And I also saw a few things I like at the Mart that aren't outdoor products.
Casual Market Chicago 2019 continues through Thursday, September 12th and is definitely worth visiting if you're interested in bringing the look of the indoors outdoors, bringing the outdoors indoors, or just want to learn more about all the great products that are out there.
