I am not an artist per se--that is, I don't draw or paint; but, rather, I am a book designer and layout artist. Still, I am trying to frequent blogs of artists whose work I can wrap my mind around.<br /><br />I like your notion of using the word "brooding" as meaning both melancholy and nurturing.
